Ashley Malans was born and raised in Orange County, Florida. Ashley completed her undergraduate studies at Rollins College, where she received a B.A. in English Literature. She then attended Suffolk University Law School in Boston, MA, where she graduated with her Juris Doctor in 2017. During her tenure she served on the Student Bar Association; first as Treasurer and then as the Associate Director of Appropriations. Ashley was also Head Editor of Dicta, the Law Student Newspaper, and was a student attorney for the Indigenous People’s Rights Clinic.

Ashley began her professional career in criminal defense, working as a public defender for the state of Florida. In that time, she covered a wide variety of cases, argued several diverse motions, and gained significant experience in the courtroom. It was her honor to serve the people of Florida, and through several jury trials was able to receive favorable outcomes for her clients.

Ashley now continues to honor that legacy in advocating for her clients in civil litigation matters. In her free time, Ashley enjoys yoga, running, and spending time with her dogs, Bowie and Ringo.
